The Highlands at Hilltop was built in two phases by Roseland and JMP Holdings as part of the redevelopment of Essex County’s Hilltop Conservancy. Phase I opened in May 2010, consisting of 95 luxury rental units surrounding a clubhouse, pool, tennis, and basketball courts. Phase II brought an additional 130 units as well as additional pool and courtyard facilities, fitness and yoga center, golf simulation and club room. Both phases of Hilltop are operating under PILOT agreements with the Township of Verona.
